Privacy policy

Snap Funding is a trading brand of Revelle Capital Limited (company number 15190066, registered office 14/2e Docklands Business Centre, 10-16 Tiller Road, London, England, E14 8PX). We are the data controller for the personal information you give us on this site. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights.

What we collect

• Your funding requirement: the amount, what it’s for, and your business type and trading history.
• Company details: name, company number, addresses, incorporation date, industry and annual turnover, partly retrieved from Companies House.
• Director details: name, date of birth, home address history, email, mobile, shareholding and homeowner status.
• Documents you upload, such as bank statements and filed accounts, where the amount you ask for requires them.
• Technical and consent records: the time you gave each consent, the version of the wording you saw, your IP address and browser. We keep these as evidence of your consent.
• Where you arrived from: campaign attribution values and advertising click identifiers, used to measure our marketing.

Why we collect it

We use your information to prepare and pass your finance application to the lender, to keep in touch with you about your application, to meet our legal and contractual record-keeping duties, and, only if you separately opt in, to send you marketing.

Who we share it with

With your consent, we share your application with the lender considering it, iwoca Ltd (company number 07798925). They are a data controller in their own right, and their privacy policy is available at https://www.iwoca.co.uk/legal/privacy-policy. We provide you with their privacy policy during your application and keep a record of having done so. We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone else except suppliers who process it for us under contract (such as hosting and email providers).

Credit checks

When your application is considered, a personal credit check is run on the named director and on any person who gives a personal guarantee. This check is carried out by the lender as part of their lending decision. Checking your eligibility on this site does not involve a credit check and won’t affect your credit score, and no footprint is left on the credit file of the person checked unless an offer is accepted.

Fraud prevention agencies

The personal information we have collected from you and anyone you are linked to (for example a co-director or guarantor) will be shared with fraud prevention agencies, including Cifas, who will use it to prevent fraud and money laundering and to verify your identity. If fraud is detected, you could be refused certain services, finance or employment. How long we keep it

We keep application records only as long as we need them for the purposes above and to meet our legal and contractual duties. Documents uploaded for applications that do not proceed are deleted after a defined period. Your data is stored securely, encrypted, and kept separately from any other business records of Revelle Capital Limited.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to our use of it, and withdraw any consent at any time. To do any of these, email hello@snapfunding.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
